REHAB GYM / PILATES
What is Rehabilitation?
Rehabilitation is specialised training dedicated to improve, maintain and restore physical strength and mobility. Gym-based rehabilitation programs can assist the recovery of many injuries and post-operative conditions, and, if commenced soon after injury or surgery, can reduce recovery time, pain and impairment levels.
Why Gym-Based Rehabilitation & When Would you Need It?
Utilising gym, endurance and cardio equipment and floor exercises allows for the rehabilitation of injuries and the ability to maximise functional training as well as work conditioning and hardening. An individualised gym program is perfect for those who want to lose weight, recover from an injury or illness (managing chronic disease and pain) and those wishing to meet specific rehabilitation goals, such as improving posture, strength, power, muscle bulking or simply to keep active in a fun and energetic environment.

Pilates:
Pilates is an enjoyable form of exercise focused on building strength, core stability, and improving posture, flexibility and agility, whilst helping to prevent injury. Exercises can be mat-based or involve the use of specialised Pilates equipment.
Pilates was initially developed with the belief that physical and mental health are inter-related, resulting in a form of exercise that focuses not only on exercise technique, but also concentration, breathing, control and flowing movements.
Benefits of Pilates:
- Longer and leaner muscles
- Better posture
- Less back pain
- Improved flexibility, balance & coordination
- Greater strength
Pilates Matwork Classes are perfect for healthy individuals with no serious or chronic injuries. Classes are limited to 6-8 participants and run for 45 minutes.
Pilates Equipment/Studio Classes are more appropriate for people with specific problems that need to be corrected or addressed. Our classes range from a one-on-one basis (30 minutes), semi-private (2-3 for 45 minutes) or studio session (5-6 for 45 minutes).
